AmeriCommerce includes design tools to customize any theme. The Live Design tools within the theme system are powerful and easy to use with a complete drag and drop experience. You don't have to know HTML to use it either!

What to Drag, What To Drop

Your theme is 100% customizable. Live Design and the theme system is how you customize your theme. Drag and drop your widgets into your design template and see them appear in your design. While viewing your front-end design, you can add, move, edit, and delete elements in your layout with a simple point and click or drag and drop of the mouse.

Point and Click CSS Style Designer

Within the Live Design tool, you have several modes to design in. While using Design Mode, you can easily point and click anywhere within your design and see the element activate and become editable to control the look and feel, size, and CSS details. If you use Firebug or Chrome's Inspector, you'll recognize a similar set of editing tools within Live Design.

Layout Resize Mode

Resizing your layout is painless with Live Design's Resize Mode. You can resize the layout just like you would resize a window by dragging on the edges. You can also simply enter the dimensions you want for your online store, supporting fixed pixel and liquid percent based layouts.

Live Design Widget Mode

Drag and Drop widgets to and from to and from any area of the page. Edit the properties and entire layout of each widget on the page with easy to access menus.

Q: Can I edit or change my theme?

A: Yes, you can edit any of the provided themes or create an entirely custom theme. Live Design is still a useful tool for tweaking your custom themes.

Q: Can I edit any other way than Live Design?

A: If you do not prefer the drag and drop interface, you can use the HTML editor available within Live Design and the theme system or you can use Adobe Dreamweaver of the HTML editor of your choice.
