In the 2014.4 release, AmeriCommerce stores can now use the
popular Login with Facebook widget on your ecommerce store(s). It’s easy to add to
your existing store and already included in our free responsive themes.
With Facebook Login, you can:
- Remove friction on creating user accounts for
- Leverage the largest social network for a
convenient login option for your store
- Reduce abandoned carts
- Increase sales, product reviews, blog comments,
and store logins
Convenience has its benefits.
One of the key reasons for cart abandonment in online stores
is because users are tired of creating yet another user account. In fact, 40% of consumers (2 out of every 5)
perfer3e social logins over creating a new/guest account. (Source: Monetate)
Facebook is the dominant identity provider for ecommerce
websites capturing 77% of all social logins – This shows Facebook is clearly preferred
over logging in with google plus, twitter, and others. (Source: Gigya).
Your AmeriCommerce Store has the Facebook Login.
To kick off this new feature, we’ve enabled Login with Facebook in all our free responsive
themes and you can see many of them here by demoing one of the themes http://www.americommerce.com/new-themes-release
or by logging into your store and viewing new themes in your admin.
We’ve also setup and knowledge base article that explains
how to add this to your store, so check that out here: http://support.americommerce.com/hc/en-us/articles/202610394
And you’ll notice that we have used the Facebook Login in our blog posts (scroll down)
to encourage more blog comments here on AmeriCommerce.com – so by all means, login and and leave us a comment telling
us what you think.
