Exemption Certificate Management:
When enabled in the AmeriCommerce Avalara app settings, customers can directly manage their tax exemption certificates via their My Account page. This includes:
- Access to a Tax Certificates menu item that links to
/store/AvalaraCertificates.aspx
- Ability to add, delete, preview, or download certificates
- Visibility into Certificate ID, Jurisdiction, Exemption Reason, Effective/Expiration Dates, and current status
- Automatic display of a Certificate Badge on the customer record for valid and active certificates
Merchants can configure certificate features under Tools > Apps & Add-Ons > Avalara, including email templates for expiration notices and setting advance notification thresholds.
