AmeriCommerce servers reside with Rackspace and Internap.

Location

AmeriCommerce is powered by Rackspace Managed Intensive Hosting with an alternate Internap data center.

Security

Keycard protocols, biometric scanning protocols and round-the-clock interior and exterior surveillance monitor access to every one of the Rackspace data centers.

Only authorized data center personnel are granted access credentials to the Rackspace data centers. No one else can enter the production area of the data center without prior clearance and an appropriate escort.

Every data center employee undergoes multiple and thorough background security checks before they're hired.

Hardware

All AmeriCommerce web servers are all Dell PowerEdge XEON dual processor quad core servers with mirrored RAID array hard drives and redundant power supplies with 2 to 16 GB of RAM.

Database servers are multi-processor, quad-core Dell PowerEdge XEON servers with mirrored RAID array hard drives and redundant power supplies with 16 or 32 GB of RAM.

Redundant, load balanced dedicated server configurations are also available.

All servers run Windows Server 2003 or 2008 and database servers run SQL Server 2008, all connected via Gigabit networking. We use several layers of Cisco firewalls to protect each tier of the applications. Multiple layers of encryption protect all of our customer data.

Redundant Conditioned Power

Should a total utility power outage ever occur, all of our data centers' power systems are designed to run uninterrupted, with every server receiving conditioned UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) power.

Our UPS power subsystem is N+1 redundant, with instantaneous failover if the primary UPS fails.

If an extended utility power outage occurs, our routinely tested, on-site diesel generators can run indefinitely.

Routing and Bandwidth

Only fully redundant, enterprise-class routing equipment is used in Rackspace data centers.

Fiber carriers enter our data centers at disparate points to guard against service failure.

Monitoring

The AmeriCommerce servers are all monitored 24/7 using several network, server, and application health systems, such as Microsoft Systems Center Operation Manager 2007 (OpsMgr) and other internal monitoring applications. Tools, such as OpsMgr, keep AmeriCommerce support team in the know about every aspect of the hosting environment, including hardware health, operating system and application issues, response time, capacity planning, and more.

All data is backed up nightly.
