Batch Header Fee - A fee charged when a group of transactions are sent to the processor for settlement.
Reward Cards - Transactions will have an incremental 0.11% (11 Basis Points) added to Qualified and/or Non-Qualified categories.
Non-Qualified Transactions - All bankcard transactions which do not fall within one of the categories listed above, for which an authorization is obtained and deposit date is within seven (7) days of transaction date (for Visa) or 30 days of transaction date (for MasterCard). This is added to the qualified rate for discount rate and transaction fee.
Chargeback - A chargeback occurs when a cardholder contacts their card issuer in dispute of a transaction. The card issuer then submits a chargeback to the acquirer.
Retrieval Request - When the cardholder's issuing bank requests information from the merchant about a particular sale. This is also done to investigate a chargeback claim that has been made.
Early Termination Fee - The initial term of the Merchant Agreement is 3 years and automatically renews for additional 2-year periods. If this Agreement is terminated prior to the expiration of the initial term or any renewal term, you will be subject to this fee.
All monthly sales are based on $100 average transactions.
For the $2800 example we get the AmeriCommerce Merchant Services rate by adding the monthly fee + transaction percentage + the per transaction fee. Our flat percentage is 1.98%. To get your monthly rate, add $14.95 + ($2800 * .0198) + (28 * 0.28) to get the $78.23 charge.
With PayPal the rates for the $2,800, $9,800, and $90,000 are respectively 2.9%, 2.5%, and 2.2%. PayPal has a $0.30 transaction fee for each transaction.
For other processors we use an average monthly fee of $30 + $20 for Payment Gateway charge and use an average 2.39%. This rate would actually be higher because it does not include the setup fee or the annual fee.
