Go to Themes > [Active Theme] and choose Layout Settings from the left navigation.  Both "Page Settings" and "Layout Settings" need to be expanded by clicking the triangle.  In the Custom area of both boxes, add "margin: 0 auto;" and click Save.  Your site should now be centered correctly in both Internet Explorer and Firefox.
