The Home Page editor is the area that lets you create and modify your home page. To access the home page editor please browse to Themes > Active Theme:

Step 1: 'Home Page' under General Pages in the left hand side navigation menu:

Home Page Editor

Step 2: You can create and modify your home page content area here. You can enter a page title and if you wish to display Left Column, Right Column, a footer and/or header you can create those and select to display or hide them from the home page.

Step 3: The custom html snap-in will allow you to add information to your home page through a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor and you don't need to know html to use the editor. You can also add and configure different snap-ins based on what you wish to display on the home page. Example featured items, hot sellers, New items etc.

For more information on snap-ins and how to use them, please see the knowledge base article: Snap-in Modules: What are they and how to use them
