After struggling with several large name, “enterprise class” ecommerce solutions we finally were able to have our objectives met with AmeriCommerce. While these other solutions promised us the world and under-delivered on almost everything, AmeriCommerce was able to come to our rescue and help us get our 6+ websites back up and functioning better than before, in a very short time frame.

While we knew AmeriCommerce was the correct solution for many of our websites, there was some hesitation in moving our most successful site off of the Volusion platform. Once we saw the huge improvement our other sites were having on AmeriCommerce, and the ease of maintaining multiple storefronts from a centralized database, we moved our ‘flagship’ site over as well. We are a website development company serving the private and public sectors. Recently one of our clients presented us with an ecommerce project with some very specific and unusual requirements.

After doing considerable research on ecommerce providers within our client’s price range, we decided that Americommerce would be the best fit for the project. We needed a solid and versatile cart that would also be able to produce a very specific orders feed to our distribution warehouse. Americommerce communicated directly with the clearing house that our client worked with, and developed a customized feed to pass the orders to the clearing house in the required format.

At the time of our project, Americommerce had a cross-selling system (where you can suggest related items on a product details page), but we required an upsell system (where the cart can suggest another related product or accessory after an item is added to the cart). Americommerce saw that as a valuable feature, and covered half the cost of its development. We worked closely with Americommerce in defining the specs and use case scenarios. In the world of shopping carts and website hosting it can be nerve racking to find the right match for your company's needs. I reviewed no less than 20 shopping cart providers for our new website. They all made tall claims, but when you tested them and called the support department the truth about their customer service came out very fast.

Then I found AmeriCommerce. I had direct access to the technical support staff from day one and they patiently worked though finding solutions to every one of my needs. Our website has required a dozen unique needs so far and AmeriCommerce has fulfilled every one of them without any complaint. In my experience with other service providers asking for custom development is met with sighs and attempts to convince you it can't be done. I've never heard "no" from AmeriCommerce. I expected to receive some large invoices for the work. Good development cost money and I was happy to pay them for their time. I was even more surprised when the invoices showed up and the pricing was extremely friendly. I almost don't want to tell anyone about them because I don't want the secret to get out.

The launch of our new site has been very successful so far and we owe a decent slice of that to AmeriCommerce.
